Maximize productivity at your next group meeting! Reserve a meeting room on the 1st floor of the library.

  • Host up to 80 people with a meeting room arranged as a board room, classroom, U-shape, or theatre-style
  • Take advantage of our professional audiovisual tools
  • Review fees for use
  • Please review the meeting room contract before reserving a meeting room

Receive courtesy reminders, hold notifications, and billing notices

Stay up to date with Account Alerts! There are five different types of notifications and four different ways to receive them, so you will always be in the loop.

  • Set up text message alerts for hold and overdue notices, billing information, messages, and general announcements
  • Please ask a library staff member to set up your phone, mail, or email alerts
  • Email alerts will be sent from “Your Local Library”
  • Mail and email alerts are available in English, Spanish, and Polish
  • Mail alerts are available for members who have no other means of communication

Interlibrary Loan provides access to books and other materials from libraries located anywhere from Alaska to Maine, Vancouver to Miami, across the U.S. to Canada, as well as the Library of Congress.

  • Books and Journal articles are the hottest commodities with Interlibrary Loan, but some libraries are open to lending audio recordings, video recordings, maps, sheet music, and more

Find the perfect spot for your group study sessions or meetings

Find private work and study spaces in the library! Small group study rooms include a Smart TV with HDMI connections and are available in the Youth and Adult Departments, on a first-come, first-served basis for adults, high school students, and younger children (must be accompanied by an adult).

  • North and South Meeting Rooms are available to accommodate larger groups, study rooms are great for groups of eight or less
  • The Shakespeare Room is available with an advance reservation
  • Study rooms are available for use without a time limit, unless there is a waitlist
  • Children and their grownups can use the Youth Department study room for library games and activities

Do you need help navigating your application for health insurance during open enrollment periods? The Glen Ellyn Public Library is here to help.

  • What you’ll need to apply for coverage
    • Driver’s license or state ID
    • Income verification including W-2s, unemployment, Social Security, and/or pay stubs
    • Social Security numbers for you and anyone else who will be included in your coverage
  • Print out the Marketplace Application Checklist and Employer Coverage Tool to gather the necessary materials
